How long can a mouse survive without food or water?
This is the first time my fire has refused a live meal, and I must say, I wasn't really prepared for it. I'll try again later, but otherwise... well, does Petco take returns on live animals? Hah... My only other option would be to give the mouse to my teacher to feed to one of her snakes. That's what I plan on doing, but I wouldn't be able to do it until tomorrow morning. I have no living arrangements for the poor thing, so I'm at a loss.
Suggestions?

Kill it and freeze it, try again later.

Yikes... I dunno if I'd be able to do that.
How would you suggest going about killing the mouse...?

cervical dislocation is the generally accepted method.
You may be able to find more info in the feeders section, I'll move this thread there

Update: Turns out Petco does take returns on feeders, so that's what I did. I've recently gotten a new terrarium, so perhaps my fire is still a little stressed out from the move. I'll let him settle a little while longer before trying again.
This is good for future reference, I suppose, because I don't quite have what it takes to be able to kill the mice myself, haha.

If you only want to wait a few days, if it happens again, giving them a piece of carrot or cucumber for water, and a bit of bread or dog food is enough to keep them for a few days. Might just have to change the veg piece out every day.
