moving just a couple quastons from a worrie wart
Hey Yall I have a quastion about how to move with a ball python. I curntly live at home with my mom. hopefuly not for long though. My fiance and I are in the process of buying a house (we will close and take possetion of the house Noveber 27th if all goes well on the banks end). That being said im curntly in school and working full time so I may not move in right away but move in slwoly. iv decided baron (my ball) will be the last to be moved along with Boo my cat. I am werry about doing the move since baron is still a youngin ( got him as a hatchling and have had him for about 4 mounths) he is a big boy (220 grams). He has been growing so much I dont want him to shy from feeds as I have had him on f/t for 2 mounths and dont wana go back to live. should I move his set up let it sit for a couple of days then transfer him of will the transfering then moving and transfering be more stressfull. I already decided to skip his feeding the week i move as i dont want him getting stressed from being handled after feed. btw im not moving to terribly far, it is only about 15 mins by car. i may be over stressing it but what would yall reccomend

If i understand you, you have a new setup your going to switch him to, and want to know if you should do it now or after the move. If I got that right, I would say it's really up to you. I know the home buying process can be really stressful, so if it were me, I would stay with the current setup until after the move, and long enough to make sure the snake is eating regularly again, then switch to the new enclosure when things have calmed down. No sense putting it off feed right before the move. Of course it depends a lot on the snake in question too. If it's known to be a picky eater or not, and things like that.
Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?
Never argue with idiots. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with their experience.

Re: moving just a couple quastons from a worrie wart
I recently moved 22 snakes from my dads house into a new apartment in September and didn't have any issues; Your little guy should be fine. As long as you make sure he's packed properly and warm he will be fine. Sometimes Balls are just stupid and go off food if you look at them funny, but you really shouldn't have a problem if you're just moving him from one house right into the next. Good luck and happy moving.
