How long should I leave my male with female?
Hello! This is my first season breeding ball pythons I have an albino male and het albino female that is "dating" atm, and a few more pairings that I'm holding back until later this season.
The het albino female had started to lay in the cool end of the tub, so just out of curiosity I introduced her to my albino male.
Not even ten minutes after putting the male in with the female she was wagging and lifting her tail for him, and one and a half hour later when I checked in on them they were mating. This was yesterday evening, I was going to separate them today, but they were all snuggled up this morning, and at the time they weren't mating, but later during the day they were mating again.
Should I separate them so the male can rest, or should I leave them to it for a while longer now that everything is going so well for them? They are both well feed and healthy, and they seem to really enjoy each other, if you know what I mean

move the male the next time you see him unlocked and give them both about a week to two weeks to eat and rest. Then you can introduce them again. If the male is just servicing one female, you really only need to see a lock once every 3-4 weeks.
