I have 4'x30"x15" enclosure and it took almost 2 10-qt bags to cover it in cypress for my rainbow boa. And before anyone says it, yes I know it's oversized for her, but it's the best one I have available for maintaining high humidity.

Your USA units freak me out.

just give me the volume of the substrate and the surface area, and i will transform that into the metric system and calculate the thickness if spread evenly for you. Only square feet and cubic feet allowed, and fractions of square feet (=inches).

If you get that figured out i will give you the thickness. with mathematical precision.

some wolframalpha.com magic, so its 23 litres dispersed over 0.7432 square meters (over 1mē it would be exactly 23 millimeters). Thats 30.947 millimeters; in inches: 1.21 inches.

    Sounds just fine
