Question about cooling

I have been researching around about the cooling process and have come to the conclusions that it is definitely helpful, but not necessary. I have three females I wish to breed this season, two of which I have introduced my male to over the past month during storm systems. I witnessed multiple lockups with one of the pairings on a couple different occasions, but only witnessed the male courting the female in the other.

I am wondering if I should go ahead and cool my 41qt female rack, or keep temps up. It is my understanding that cooling is not as necessary after copulation? If that is the case, how should I deal with the females whom have not copulated?

I don't go out of my way to cool any enclosures, I keep my thermostats the same year round. The room temperature will get cooler during the winter obviously, I just make sure it doesn't get to cool in the room, otherwise, I will use a oil filled heater to maintain a temperature in the mid 70's.

I have done it this way since I started keeping ball pythons. Keep in mind, not all females will copulate when you would like them too. Occasionally, I will have a female that won't copulate as well.
