    Rats or Mice?

Hello everyone! I just got my Spider BP last week and soon it is feeding time, I am curious though, should I feed him live mice or rats??? He weighs 81 grams if that helps at all, oh and he is my avatar and profile pic so you can get an idea of him! Thanks everyone for the help!

Many people on the forum recommend rats from the beginning. Just make sure that you are feeding 10-15% of your baby's weight every 5-7 days

Right now you need to feed whatever he used to eat with the breeder and once he eats a few meals successfully for you, offer whatever works and is convenient for you.

Really, rats offer more fat content and that's about it. The main benefit to rats is that you don't have to feed more than one at a time, as rats can get more than big enough for your snake. Mice only get to 20-30 grams, about the size of a rat pup, so if you have a big girl that's a determined mouser you might have to feed her 4 or 5 mice in one sitting. More expensive, and much more of a hassle.
