How soon after laying can a female bp get gravid again?
As the title says: How soon after laying can a female become gravid again.
I've been witnessing some odd behavior from my female lately. 1st the back story- I breed my 100% het VPI Axanthics this past season and she laid 5 eggs on June 29, 2013. Those hatched and are doing great. Both hets started eating like piggies and she has put her weight back on and he has gained some. I decided to build a rack for the babies, adults, etc and I have the adults housed together temporarily. (They are feed separately)
A while after she laid and went back on feed I witnessed some potential locks- but figured those were just "for fun" and couldn't be productive. Last night I witnessed the female laying inverted and looking a bit fatter than usual. Since she hasn't had any particular large meals I don't think it's a food baby. I'll post some pics of her later.
But is it possible for her to get knocked up again that soon after laying?
Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Interested to see what people have to say.
Not to hijack your thread or anything but I have a similar situation.
I have a large african import girl that laid for me in april. She is now wrapping her water bowl 24/7 and hasnt been paired at all for the year. She was 3500+g when she laid in april and is at about 2500g now so I didnt want to breed her until she regained weight. Is she attempting to build follicles by water bowl wrapping? It seems like a bit early and she isnt up to weight yet.

Hopefully one of the experts will chime in on this. It would be nice if she laid again but honestly I'm a bit worried about it being too soon.

Re: How soon after laying can a female bp get gravid again?
First of all, please finish your rack or buy a new cage. Those two adults shouldn't be housed together.
I don't think she is gravid again. They only lay one clutch a year and she shouldn't be laying again until probably May or June of next year.
Finally, all locks can be productive. Reptiles don't have a "pleasurable experience" when locking so when they lock, the intention is to produce babies.
