I would just stick with what you've got. Put the spider to both females. It's your first season, there is a pretty decent chance neither of your girls will lay eggs (Sorry, just being honest). No need to spend even more money on more snakes until you've mastered the process with the 3 you already have.

Thanks for the advice. I am not worried if they don't lay this year although it would be nice. These are pets for me and I am going to be quite happy with this little male. Knowing that eventually I can get a BEL is a bonus for me. I really do appreciate the advice though. Smart as far as money goes. I just don't think I want to work with the spider gene. Just keep him as a pet.

with your current gene pool, and for hobby breeding: next step is to get mojave and pinstripe and enchi
i think pastel lesser/butter is a good choice.

Yeah. I am actually pretty stoked about the possibilities with these 4. May get lucky and get a clutch or two this year however I am prepared to wait until next year. I would rather wait and try for what I really want which is a BEL and either a super pastel or super pastel butter. That will fill the rack in the living-room with six gorgeous pet snakes.

If you do decide to buy a new BP, you should consider a Black Pastel. Black Butters are super awesome!

I agree with Ricky at least for this season but I would still purchase that butter for next season he should be ready. If not then get the Mojave but don't rush things take things easy don't get your hopes up high. Cause even though we plan and hope for the best sometimes they just don't produce.
