Gravid? Building?
Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic. I've seen her do this several times already. But I have yet to witness any locks. She has shed on 8/10; 8/25/ and her last shed was 9/16. She was 2169g on 9/4.

Last Thursday. She's feeds really regularly (I've been feeding small rats to avoid food take interruptions). Back in August, she gave me a little difficulty until I offered a couple of large rats.

A female that size doesn't ordinarily shed that often, odd ...
My girls over 2000 grams shed about every 10-12 weeks eating one small/medium rat a week.
She looks to be in the "I'm building" mode.

Its hard to tell because girls lay like that for a whole variety of reasons. Being that it's a week since she ate I don't think it's food related so it 'could' be that she is building. Keep an eye on her. Either way it's a promising sign.

Re: Gravid? Building?

Updates: She refused her meal 2 weeks in a row, but ate last Thursday. I've caught her laying on her side several times since my first post. She's in shed and I caught her like this tonight. I even compared her to another girl who only weighs 30g more than her & who ate a similar sized meal as this girl. This girl's belly has a considerably larger and longer bulge than the slightly larger, not acting strange girl. Should I be firing up the incubator or just wait?
