I can't say for sure whether I think the scaleless gene is a positive addition to the hobby or not, and my indifference is really based on a lack of knowledge or experience dealing with scaleless reptiles. But.... I gotta tell you, watching this video was one of the most exciting moments I have had watching a youtube clip. Brian was beyond happy, and I was beyond happy for him. Here is a man who really is a celebrity in his own right, and who is so down to earth. Everything he does with BHB and snake bytes TV is fueled by his love and passion for the animals and the hobby. Regardless of how this plays out over the next month, 2 months, years, and decades - I am super excited for Brian and am really glad that we all got to share in that moment with him.

I couldn't have said it better my self brother, he's a great guy and I'm also very excited for him. I hope to one day be as successful as him doing what I love, and one day I will get there. I think we will have to wait to see what this mutation does and plays out in the game, but for now I wish the best of luck for this mutation and for him.

I saw the this today as well. I wish that they had waited till the came out so we could see them in all their glory. I hate egg cutting videos when they never give you a follow up. I dumped one of my YouTube snake subs because of they never showed them out of the egg.

Regardless this was a good day for BHB. I have been watching them for a couple years now. Brian has thought me a lot.

They will probably have quite a few updates on these guys as they grow since nobody really knows how this gene will affect the snakes health and looks. Definitely an update when they come out of the eggs since it's such a big deal.

As neat as I think they are, I can honestly say I wouldn't get one. It's just because something about it really bothers me and I don't know why.

Also what will really tick me off is if they feed it live versus f/t. Without scales that snake could easily take some damage from a rat bite.

I'm very curious to see how a scaleless BP would look and feel to the touch.. As long as being scaleless doesn't harm them in any way I got nothing against their breeding, let's hope this experiment turns out well!

Very exciting vid to watch! What a moment. I am personally not super excited about the gene itself but then again tune will tell. I am usually slow to accept new things until I let them "soak in" for a little while.

I have watched many of Brian's shows and he has said many times that he will ONLY feed live if the snake is being a picky eater. He generally feeds f/t to his animals.

And as far as scaleless snakes...I also wouldn't get one. I like my snakes with scales, personal preference. But I am happy for Brian to see this project going again. Wish him luck with it.

He got a camera pointed at those eggs pretty much right after they were cut for some cool time lapse of the hatching. I think it's Aaron Jones' equipment? But don't worry, you'll definitely see them out of the egg
