Gestation questions
I've been pairing my male spider and my female normal for about 6 weeks now, using the 3 day on 3 day off method. This is my first time breeding BPs and im having trouble finding specific info.
First, i have whitnessed good locks every time the have been paired. How will i know when she is fertilized?
second, how long does it take from fertilization to egg laying and what are the stages?
thanks for any help.

Your real time line starts when the female ovulates (which is unmistakable)
Once the female ovulates count 15 days to pre-lay shed, and 30 days from pre-lay shed to egg laying (those are an average)
All you can do in between is monitor your female and look for positive signs and this basic guide will help with that http://www.ballpython.ca/gallery/breeding.html
Key word in breeding PATIENCE.....6 weeks is nothing

She will look like she swallowed a football.
Here is my big 2600g girl when she ovulated:

She ovulated on 6/13/13 had her pre-lay shed 6/29/13 and laid 11 eggs on 8/5/13. Her eggs are due to hatch this weekend.

ovulation lasts for about 24hours, there is a chance to miss it especially if it is your first time breeding .. just make sure you mark the dates when your female sheds and expect eggs 30 - 45 days after each shed .. if they don't come wait for another shed and do it all over again
