    Getting new guy tomorrow need help...

    Hey im getting my Leopard Spider tomorrow and I cant put him where I usally put my new additions..Usally put them down in the basement but cant use the basement had flood and I have a cast on my foot.. So can I put him in the same room with my others on the other side of the room.. Thanks Richie..

    you really should try to quarantine in a separate room if possible...but if there is no way, then you may get away with it. any time you get a new animal, you should quarantine any new animals in a different room. I have done it, in the same room and been okay. I have also never gotten a snake that did not go into my collection after the quarantine period...but I guess that comes with getting animals from reliable and known sources. I have also gotten animals from friends who I have worked closely with them and their collections and not quarantined them...but unless you really know the breeder or person you got the animal from, I would highly advise against doing so. just make sure any cleaning or maint. is done last, and with totally different tools than you use for the rest of your collection. be very careful and you should be okay. I will only buy from people I have done business with in the past or someone that has a lot of very highly recommended sources and references. just me...
