My first clutch of ball python eggs.

I bred my pastel(f) to my lemonblast(m) and finally got 5 really plump eggs! They looked really good when I used flashlight on them. I felt like i was waiting forever to get these, I thought she reabsorbed her eggs. Then I go away for the weekend and come home to these beauties. I was shocked.

I just finished my DIY incubator, check it out here

Grats on the clutch! That Lemonblast is sweet!

This might be a stupid question, but are the black marks on the eggs just so you know if they roll over or something, or do they have some other significance?

    Congrats!

That fan alone will get very hot. Check out my incubator and you will see... I don't use heat tape very often, only in the winter time...

Congrats! I would get rid of the fan or change it out with a computer fan. Computer fans put off little to no heat. I would also add more water bottles if you are going to leave the flexwatt on the side. It will help even out the temps, and it will help keep the temp stable for a lot longer during a power outage.

I agree... hot air rises... use a row of water bottles in the bottom if you can the water will warm up and hold temps for a while if anything goes wrong like a power failure.add a shelf on top and dest the egg box on it.
