Escaped 10ft fanged ball python attacks woman in Wales

This was published today in the 2nd most read "news" paper in the UK.
'I was put on a drip and I stayed overnight in hospital - thankfully, I've made a full recovery.'
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...tml#addComment

Unfortunately, some people will believe this nonsense.

There is so much missing in this report - what kind of snake was it? They pictured a BP but there is no way that bite is from a ball python not to mention the ridiculous notion of a 10 foot ball python... I've been bitten by a 10 foot boa when I was intoxicated (I know I know...) And the alcohol will explain greater bleeding but I've never heard of an allergic reaction to a python bite.. that's just me - this report is ridiculous.

3" puncture wounds, but no other tooth marks. What kind of python would leave only 2 puncture wounds??

The first sentence explains it "A pub goer". Seems she was drunk and probably hallucinating as well.

    Yep, this is pretty silly.

She didn't even SEE a snake, she was told by paramedics that it looked like a snake bite. How can anyone really know what happened there? Oh well, at least she seems okay with it. Probably isn't going to start campaigning against reptile ownership.

I guess the newspaper just seized it because it's such an unusual story. But it saddens me to see snakes used as shock value.
