When she's 'blue' she's not going to be able to see as well and could miss when striking. I fed mine recently not knowing she had gone blue <she's a very content little bugger hiding most of the day away in her hot hide.> And she did fine... Even with live prey.

It won't hurt her to wait until after she sheds. Just gonna be a little more hungry than usual.

The only way to find out if your BP will eat while in shed or not is to try.

I will say that the majority of my collection will eat in shed (regardless of the stage) therefore I feed them, the few that I know always refuse when they are in shed, I just skip.

Just make sure and watch if you're feeding live in case it refuses. I recently discovered just how fast a rat can really jack up a snake.

Well it worked she ate anyway so I'm happy, she refused for a few weeks. But does anyone have advice on switching to rats ???

Mine switched from mice to rats with no problem. They seemed to like rats better.
