Need some feedback!(leopard morph on classified site)

So this guy is selling some leopards on a local classified site in utah. I just wnated some input kinda sounds to good to be true.

Here is the link to the classified:
    http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=218...arch=&ad_cid=5

If you don't wanna go to the site I'l post the info here also.

This week only!! I will make one of these guys available for 550.00 Cash Only!! No trades. Look around you wont find one for less than 800-900ea. I will put the price back up after this week. Leopards are gene linked with the pied gene, so you get an extra bonus! Price is more than firm, so serious buyers only.

    Later
    B.J.
    Inked-Up Reptiles.

He also told me the reason he is selling so cheap is cause they haven't had their first meal yet but would raise the price once they have, also he would throw in a het pied female for 50$.

So...to good to be true? He lives about an hour from me I'm gonna try to get there sometime this week after work.

Have you checked to see if he has any feedback on the BOI at faunaclassifieds?

Google the company and see if that brings up anything reassuring or worrying.

But, more importantly, do you have any experience of starting off baby ball pythons?

I haven't used that site much but I will take a look. I searched online just got results for a facebook page that looks hardly used. He did sell some other animals on ksl, the deals seemed to have gone good.

I have never started a ball python off I have 4 I plan to breed next season when they are old enough. I'm gonna try to find some resources on that gotta prepare anyways!

If you've never started a hatchling, then you're most likely just setting yourself up to lose $550 cash by possibly starving a baby to death. I never sell babies straight out of the egg, and would rather lose a potential customer than release an animal that isn't eating. Since the ad says it's only being offered for a week at that price, that isn't enough time to "try to find some resources on that".

Since a hatchling that's eating should go for a minimum of $800 and he's selling these for $550, I would wonder why he's willing to forego the extra $500 he'd make over the next few weeks by ensuring that these guys have had a few meals.

since its 1 hour away and you can go there in person, i say let your eyes be the judge.

could it be that they did not have their 1st shed yet when the pictures were taken? Maybe its just a really early sale, you dont feed before 1st shed anyway, maybe they are just a bit flooded with hatchlings right now and need the money.

its a bit risky, but hey, the fact that you can go there in person and take a look with your own eyes should mitigate much of that risk.
