Although an online petition is an okay idea, a paper and pen petition is way better. Congress will pay more attention to a hand written petition of 200 signatures as opposed to 10,000 signatures online.

I totally agree with that Pyhtonminion!

Unfortunately for me I don't have enough time to go out and tell people to sign a petition, especially since around my neighborhood they don't really enjoy snakes, even though this doesn't really effect just reptiles. I'm sure that somebody will have to voice it around my county, since, once again, it's not just snakes and reptiles. Yet I'm, only 15 and I don't really have the luxury of driving around yet x3

At 100,000 signatures the white house vows to review the petition and material and make an "Action" where they "do something". So, I disagree with you there, but I appreciate the insight.

This is just another avenue, keep sending emails to congress members and all that jazz. It was just an idea the popped into my head, I hadn't seen anything like a white house petition (I also searched their petitions to make sure!) and nothing came up. So, I went ahead and did it.

I commend your diligence on the matter, however I see a fatal flaw with this concept...

If I wanted to start a petition, I make an account, write one up, and post it on the White House website, and share it with my friends.

200 other concerned citizens get the bright idea as well and write one up for themselves.

So now there are 201 petitions with the same goal in mind, but the 100,000 signatures needed are spread between these 200 petitions.

So unfortunately there are 200 petitions with only 500 signatures each and the legislators don't take a second look at it, if they even took a first to start with.

We need a political group to act as a head for the cause, and everyone hops on that bandwagon to make each signature count that much more.

I appreciate you doing your part to try and protect the hobby that we all love so much tho.

Good luck to you and all of us

I tweeted the petition to USARK, some sound backing would eliminate your logical outcome.

We've got 20, now. Everybody is sharing, right?

There's a lot more than 20 views, which is a shame. I thought this would go over better.
