Price for a super pastel lesser and pied?

Hey guys. Just joined and I was looking for a little bit of advice on these snakes. I've found both a super pastel lesser and a pied ball for $300 each and I'm wondering which would be the better deal? I'm only going to get one but I'm not sure what would be the better investment for down the road. They're both absolutely stunning and I can't decide.

    Super Pastel Lesser:

    Pied:

I would be leery of buying at that low of a price.

    Are they both males?

Value wise the Super Pastel Lesser is a better deal, but both of those prices are good deals.
Male Pieds are running $400-$600 maybe alittle more depending on the amount of white.
Super Pastel Lessers are in the $600-$800 range for males last I saw.

If you are looking to breed in the future it is recommended to get your females first because they take longer to mature.

If you are set on one of those 2 make sure they are both healthy and get the one that you like more and would rather work with down the road.

Personally I'd get the super pastel lesser. If I got a pied male I'd have to buy him some girlfriends.

Yeah they're both males. I'm not going to breed for at least a couple of years, just slowly building up my collection I guess. I'm leaning towards the super pastel actually because I haven't seen many around.

Anything with super pastel will yield pastel babies so... It's better to work with as a breeder I'd say, unless you really want to stick with pied stuff.

Re: Price for a super pastel lesser and pied?

Although I've said the next snake I buy is probably going to be a piebald.. That super pastel lesser is exquisite. I think I'd hold off on the piebald if I could get a triple gene for that price. (Don't get me wrong, look around, that piebald is a steal too!)

Make sure there is nothing wrong with it. I just went through a heartache over a sick snake. Its not worth it.

But, if they so happen to be super healthy snakes and you do only choose one... If you could be so kind to point me in the direction of that breeder? Because I call dibs on the other one!
