    Super Mystic?

Just wondering how many of you have this morph, or know much about it. There seems to be more focus on the Mystic Potion when it comes to the Mystic morph. I do think the potions are awesome on their own right, but I really like the deeper colors of the super mystic. They are one of my "dream morphs" and I really can't find a lot of information on them.

Do they have a lot of variability in patterning (how much stripe, how much side patterning, etc.) or are they all pretty similar to the one on worldofballpythons.com?

Just wanted to see others' thoughts on this really awesome morph, and some pictures, if you have any.

    Re: Super Mystic?

the reason is there's are more Mohave females that's up to breeding size than mystic females. the super form's price tag also reflects how many supers are for sale.

I'd like to produce one some day, but my oldest female mystic is only 6 months old... We have made a potion, and WOW they're sweet! I agreed, though, that the colors of the super mystic are way deeper, and perhaps more eye appealing than the potions.

I'm sure it's a matter of preference on super mystic vs. potion. I tend to be attracted to darker colors with the exception of loving yellow and orange. In both cases I love high contrast, such as in the super mystic and, vice versa, the bumble/killer/fire bees which I'll be looking to produce in the next couple of years. But those who like lighter colors would certainly be better suited with the potions.

Interesting about the mystic females not being up to breeding size yet. I didn't know that the morph was that new. Also, it seems like the phantom morph is almost identical to it, if not interchangeable altogether.

I'm certain -- JUST MY OPINION -- that the phantom and the mystic are the same mutation.

The mystic isn't necessarily that rare, but I don't have a grown female. They aren't offered up for sale all that often as adults--at least none that I've found. I don't mind waiting time mine grows up, either. My mystics have a granite speckling to them that I'm hoping is more than just speckling. Hoping the supers will turn out different than regular super mystics. Kind of funny to say "regular" super mystics... They're awesome no matter what.

    Re: Super Mystic?

since mystic and phantom are so similar (and i think they are different lines of the same) you will surely enjoy this video:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbXf6Jsbj_4

If you are interested in super mystic...... Just go for it all-in. They look ridiculously awesome. And they keep it no matter what age. No known genetic issues with these supers, you can just go for it.

Just do it, if you have the ability to go for super mystics/phantoms.... Do it, they are hot, and on the side get some super mojaves done to make purple passion / mystic potion.

Yeah I was actually thinking of doing a super mystic x mojave or super mojave type of project. But boy do I have a long way to go to work up the $$ for it. I'm gonna have to count on my granites to help me out with some sellable babies for this year and next. By 2015 my future bumble bee and current pastel should be able to produce for me. Maybe by then I'll be in a better position for this project. :\ This unfortunately is the reality of being a poor man trying to play a rich man's game.....

Cool video too. You really don't need to add anything to this gene. The standard super phantom/super mystic is just amazing.

i think the super phantom pinstripe blows them all out of the water. Its just so OMG out of this world. And i am sure the same is possible with super mystic.

Pinstripe is a gene that should be well-represented in any breeding project anyway. No genetic issues, unlike spider. Super pinstripes probarbly do exist, and with that i mean pinstripes that produce 100% pinstripe when bred to whatever.
