Python sources south of Boston
I'm looking for good places to aqcuire a python in the southeastern Massachusetts area. I just came from PetCo because I knew I could see them there, and held one. Three of the four in the tank looked pretty good, according to what I've seen in pictures, but the fourth was off on its own and smaller than the rest. It also had some wrinkles on it. Anyway, I'm not going to pay $90 for a normal baby when I've seen them several places for $30 or so.
I just want one with a good disposition because I like normals, and their price. I wouldn't mind a cinnamon or something if they aren't too much, but I digress. I would like to buy local so that I can see it in person before buying.
By the way, I'm in no rush because I'm not even sure I can get one, but some place I could bring my stepfather where he could get to know one and see how nice and friendly they are would be great. Otherwise, maybe I can convince him of a frog or something, but that's a last resort. I like frogs, but they're no snake.

Try and find a reptile show in your area. They have them all over the country, and you can meet breeders in your area. Often you will find normal Bp's in the twenty dollar range. Just look up repticon in your state. The quality will be much better than what you will find at a big box pet shop.

That sounds good, but that particular one doesn't seem to come north any further than Maryland. There's one in New Hampshire, but that's still a little far considering he probably won't be that interested in going. I'm going to keep looking.

If you're willing to go about an hour north of Boston, there's always NERD's store.
