I'm pretty sure I can peg this one as my favorite gene at least top 3! I think I'd like to specialize once I get started and just work w/this gene (for a while). Curious to know from the BP community what are some thoughts about this, and some of your experiences w/it! Pics, opinions, info all very much appreciated
Maybe it's just me...but I don't understand what you are asking? Pictures of lessers? Some of our lesser combos?

I believe the answer would be yes. I too would like to see some pictures of both lessers and lesser crosses. Its a morph im quite interested in as well and id like to see what a quality lesser looks like and what the different variations and possibilities are of the morph.

Re: Lesser Gene!
Well, here is my lesser, Jax. He's got about 300g put on since this picture was taken. He's also got two clutches due to drop first of August. I should have a combo in one of those clutches

Type lesser into the search field, this will filter the morph list to only include combos that include the lesser genetics. Click on the names and you should be able to see the genes in the combo and pictures of the combo
Then you can use this page to calculate odds of potential pairings:
http://www.worldofballpythons.com/wizard/
Instructions for using the genetics calculator:
Here you can select any gene for a male and "breed" it to a female to see what the outcome will be. In order to select multiple genes for a given snake, simply hold the "ctrl" key while adding more genes (on Mac computers you use the Command key (AKA Apple key). In order to breed a snake to a normal Ball Python, leave one side of the wizard blank and that snake will be treated as normal.

Here is Melman, my Pastel Lesser-

I have a butter also, if you would like to see her. Check out the World of Ball Python link Aaron gave you to check out different combos.
If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.

What is the difference really between a Butter and a Lesser? I see some on the forums say there is no difference and some say there is definitely a difference. Looking at the various pictures, I think that Lessers can look like Butters and Butters can look like Lessers. So how do you guys tell the difference? Does a butter have more yellow? Maybe one of them has a more reduced pattern?

I suscribe to the belief that butters and lessers are basically two blood lines of the same morph.
Butter: http://www.worldofballpythons.com/morphs/butter/
Lesser: http://www.worldofballpythons.com/morphs/lesser/
Some people claim to be able to tell the difference between them, but I've seen verified lessers that look just like butters, and verified butters that look just like lessers. So I call shenanigans on anyone who says that they can 100% of the time.

The difference is just the name. Both are the same genetic mutation, but two different lines. Lesser Platinum from Ralph Davis and the Butter from the Bells. (Like saying Lemon Pastel vs Citrus Pastel vs Graziani Pastel. All pastels, but different lines)
The differences you see in individuals is just natural variation. Both butter and lesser can come in more cream, more yellow, more reduced, more busy, blushed, non blushed, or whatever example. If there was a lesser that looked a certain way, there's a butter that has the same traits and vice versa.
