    Incubation question

According to what I've been told here my eggs that were laid June 8 should be pipping on July 31. I know that's not carved in stone but is that just saying at 89° it should be safe to cut then? If so when should they be hatching, on the 60th day?

You planning to cut day 52ish? That would be safe. When I cut mine on day 52 they are generally out by day 56-58 (usually day 56).

Hey Iron... Any reason you don't want to let them pip on their own? I'm a sucker for the "PIP"

Lots of snakes, a bunch of horses and an array of other animals small and large!

    Re: Incubation question

I use to cut day 54. I know cut when the first one pips. I think keeping the veins intact until they're ready to pip is better for the hatchlings.

No I'm not going to cut, I was just trying to figure out the timing on this so I know when to start watching for pippers.
