Making my closet into a new enclosure for my retic - Need tips

So I think it's time to empty out the closet and turn it into a new enclosure for my baby!
The dimensions of the closet are 54.5" x 24.5" x 88" - Would that be too small for a 12'~ yearling?
The biggest reason I would like to do this is because I feel he needs to climb around, and sitting in his Boamaster cage is boring him.


Things I would LOVE to add to the enclosure:
-small waterfall into a larger place for him to soak/get a drink
-large logs to climb around on
-something he can hide in
-waterproofed walls/floor (for obvious reasons.. this mischievous dude LOVES to tip over his water..)
-1/4" polycarb or acrylic door entry with locking
-possibly a removable tray for the bottom


Any input from YOU guys/gals would be amazing and so helpful.

Hello. Sounds like a great idea!, not sure on the variants your reptile needs but they can be accomidated many ways.
what kind of bedding will you be using?
i have acrylic for my sliding doors in my 2 vivarium builds, there great and look good but ive noticed they have started to mark where my lock is and the acrylic for my beardie sits on standard runners, these get clogged with sand, scrach the acrylic and looks really messy, so im p,anning on replacing both vivariums from acrylic to glass. Plus side is that acrylic costs so little its very tempting yet glass will cost a lot more. Most closets are laminated so will be good for the wateproof side but you might find it dificult to seal and it might stuggle to bond to the laminate, i recomened maybe use fine sand paper (grade P240) and just lightly scratch the surface where the sealent will bond, this will made it adear better.


oh and if you need high humidity i reccomend going for the medium or large waterfall from exo terra (its a little costly but looks great) that way you could always add a fogger if higher humidity is needed. To control them do your research and tests to get the right humidity and use plug timers to control it, for instance my waterfall is on constant, my fogger is on morning and first part of the day, my plug timer controls this.
