boaphile size for full grown bp.

What size should I get for my bps. I'm looking into buying three boaphiles for my bps and need a size for a forever cage for them. Any ideas. All three all three are males. So tired of the over head heat and glass tanks but don't want a rack system yet.

I would say either a 421D or the 422D depending on how much head room you want them to have and if you plan to stack them. 48"x24" makes a nice forever home for ball pythons. 36"x24" is just slightly bigger than a 40 breeder which is on the low end of recommended.

    Go with Animal Plastics's T8: http://www.apcages.com

Boaphile takes months and months to get and customer service is worst in the industry, IMO.

I also like vision cages. They are a bit more pricey but they are a good looking cage. I will say that I do not own one and have only seen them at shows so I dont know how they perform so this is based on looks only!

The t8 looks nice. Also my other question is what do I need for the set up. And how to set it up. Haven't done anything but critter cages and I know the set up is different. If there's a forum here on that info can I post link please

Agree about the Boaphile. If all goes well he usually doesn't take any longer than anyone else. The thing is if you have a problem, he loses your order or your cage arrives damaged for instance, you will have a really had time getting a hold of him. He doesn't answer email, ever. He used to answer his phone or return calls faithfully, but doesn't do that any more either. I have a lot of his racks and cages, but I don't think I would take the chance of ordering from him in the future. AP does have a great product and great customer service. About cage size, bigger isn't always better with Balls. I put 2 of my females in 4x2 cages from 41qt (3x18inch) tubs. My Cinny female thrived in it. My big normal stayed in her hide all the time and stopped eating until I put her back in the tub. Some breeders keep their males in 32qt tubs, which are 23inches x 16inches, I believe. Just something to consider.

Thanks for all the info guys. I think I will go with a couple t8s from animal plastic. I like their key locking system with the sliding doors anyways. Lol. Won't be able to get them till after August tho. Still need to get two more helix or a herpstat2 and stack the cages. Now to consider flex Watt or radiant heat panel. What do u guys use and why?
