    Layed only 1 egg?

I have a first time Spider female that layed a slug yesterday around this time, and that's it! I've checked her maybe twice since then but I'm trying to leave her alone. I've never had a female do this, should I be concerned? She was about 2200 grams before breeding, bred to an Enchi male.

Leave her alone still - I bet they are coming soon.

If she does only lay one egg, that does not mean that she will do that every year. I have a female that laid one egg and one slug last year. This morning, she gave me seven healthy eggs and one slug.

If it has been more than 24 hours since she laid the egg, I'd palpate her to see if I could feel any more in her. Be careful, do it lightly. It isn't often that females lay only a single egg, but it does happen.

    Re: Layed only 1 egg?

She's still coiled like so, seeking heat. It has been more than 24 hrs and she still looks big, as if she should have more eggs. I will wait just a little longer then try to palpate. If she does, should I try soaking her in warm water for a bit or just leave her back in the tub?

So I ended up palpating her felt about 5 more eggs, then gave her a warm soak for 30mins. She's now sitting in her tub in high humidity.

I did notice when I started palpating she stopped and looked at me with a blank stare O.o

Last season, we had a female lay one egg about a week before her due date and then the rest of the clutch when she was due. Apparently it happens sometimes, because when I asked around, I was reassured that others had experienced the same thing. When was your female's POS?

    Layed only 1 egg?

It wasn't a slug, but it did go bad fairly quickly. Is she 2 months post ovulation, or 2 months post ovulation shed? 2 months post shed is long...
