Humidity - how high is too high?

I'm very excited to be picking up my first pair of leo's next week, and have nearly everything good to go. My last big worry is humidity. I live in Western Washington and a lot of the time ambient humidity is 50-65%. I'm wondering if this would be fine for the geckos or if this will cause respiratory problems? I can't seem to find a definitive answer to this.

If it is fine, should I omit the humid hide in lui of a second regular hide?

If not should I keep them in a terrarium, rather than a rack system and use an Infrared light to try to bring it down to a more desert like condition?

Do you monitor your homes humidity, or more importantly in the rack?

Just because that is what your outside humidity is does not necessarily mean it is the same in your home.

My humidity in Houston right now is 76%. With my a/c and other factors none of my enclosures would get anywhere close to that without assistance.

I know that most homes in western WA don't have A/C (I'm from Yakima in eastern WA), so your indoor humidity is probably still pretty high, but I doubt it'll be over 60%. Make sure that if you're using a tub, that you have a lot of ventilation holes. Use undertank heat and still use a humid hide for help in shedding. A substrate that doesn't hold humidity is a big help too. I generally use playground sand (the really fine stuff).
