    New Coi Pond

Carlson: I have a neighbor who has had KOI in her pond and even when it froze over they survived under the ice. But worst case scenario I have a couple of large tanks I can put in my garage if its a particularly bad winter.

Yea, you put goldfish in a pond and see how they over take it. Many people don't realize that cute little small fish get's very large and causes a lot of issues, at least it did in my parents pond or so that's what my dad said. I don't know anything about fish.

    New Coi Pond

Me too. Fish typically grow to their enclosure so they will be about 6" long. And a good rule if thumb is a 2 gallons for every inch of fish.

Alright everyone, when Carlson goes missing this winter, first check the bottom of all your fish ponds, directly beneath the fresh crust of new ice!

well I'll say the same I always say for anyone tryin to steal any of my animals or break into my house...you try breakin into my house causing me harm or steal any of my things your gonna be hearing the racking sound of my shotgun. In my state we have a stand your ground clause on your property, and even if I don't feel my life is in danger I can fire a warning shot at your feet. teachers neighbor, 17 year old kid tried breakin into his truck, kid said he had a knife, got shot, killed, stand your ground clause didn't go to jail or prison. and he did fire a warning shot

    Re: New Coi Pond

Sorry about the spell check but I raised Japanese Koi and am sensitive to things like getting the name correct.

You are responsible for injuries related to Your pond whether you think so or not. Kids can drown in a few inches of water and that goes for leaving buckets unattended too.

I would be more concerned about animals taking the fish before humans.

In my area ponds are usually kept in backyards. It would be considered poor taste to put it in front or on the side of your house.

None of this matters because you already put it in. Have fun.
