Racks on Racks on Racks
hey guys i just want to know what you guys think is the best rack set up.
i just bought three vision racks (2 adult, 1 baby) because they are cheaper than freedom
breeder but part of me loves the sturdy metal feel of the freedom breeder.
What do you guys think? No going back now but id love to see what people have to
say about racks from personal experience. let me know if you have vision racks,
and any problems of hints you have found with them.

I can't help because I use C Serpents racks and love them, but I'll give your thread a bump.

I use CSerpents racks also. Built very well and hold heat very good, plus Chris at CSerpents is awesome. Great guy.

The problem with vision is that the racks tend to be wobbly already with 32 quarts tubs and I would expect it to be worse with the v70.
I use a combination of Animal plastic racks (6 quarts and V18) for my hatchlings and 32 quarts for males as well as C-Serpent racks for my adult females.
All the above are VERY sturdy and C-Serpent racks comes with wheels as well.

Man, it must be nice living close enough to CSerpents to be able to get the 10-tub V-70 racks... I'll have to go somewhere else for racks for my big girls (when they get that big) but I think everything else will be in a CSerpents rack.

I have built all my racks including for my rat colony I have started since. My opinion would be to DIY and use all the $$$ you save for better snakes. DIY racks can be tailored to any specific need or dimension all you have to do is plan for it accordingly, which IMO is more valuable to a hobbyist breeder more so than a breeder who has a dedicated building/location to house their business.

It's definitely a plus to be on the east coast where Chris does many shows and deliver racks there for no additional cost.

He's branching out! I wouldn't be surprised if some year soon he's in NARBC Tinley or Arlington.

We have 3 Vision racks and 1 ARS 7010.
The Visions we have 1 setup as a 7 high V70, 1 as a 7 high 14 tub V35 and one as a 40-60 tub(depending on if we use the V18 or V15 tubs) hatchling rack. I do really like them for the versatility and they are fairly sturdy. Not a big fan of the heat cable, but they couldn't be as versatile without using it.
But the ARS blows them and everything else we have looked at out of the water!
We will be adding atleast one more 7010 this year and converting the Visions into hatchling and growout racks until we have the funding and space to replace them with ARS racks.
Seeing that ARS and Freedom Breeder are basically the same price I wouldn't spend the money on a Freedom Breeder because they look like an unfinished ARS to me.
