Ok to a lot of you this will seem silly but I was all stressed out because Ozzy didnt feed last time and it had been about 3 weeks.
I figured I stressed him out changing his cage around.
So I gave him about a week to chill and put him in the feed box and I think he really knew it was chow time.
He coiled up and was in the strike position long before I lowered the mouse in and it took all of 1/2 second for him to strike.
I know some of you have experienced long times of your bp being off feed and I dont know how ya do it I was more stressed out than Ozzy.
    I just had to share
    Thanks!

I was pulling my hair out for the longest time, now it doesn't even bother me. And I'm about 85% sure I got mine feeding again.

It's definitely stressful for us having them go off feed. Sounds like you took a good approach and it worked out well for you, tho!

well one of mine have officialy been off feed for...over 2 months. it doesnt so much stress me out. i monitor their weight and how they act. they way i see it, them not eating but still staying healthy is a good way of saving my mice and rats. it does stress me a little more when my little one doesnt eat. i just dont think they are supposed to have to go off feed when they are so small. but the adults...its more their nature.
congratualtions on the fact that your isnt off feed!

I love when they finally feed. I ran around the house for an hour singing with jubilation after my little girl finally broke her 3-month fast. No one really understands the joy better than a fellow BP owner, as was evident by the weird looks I got while praising "She finally ate the rat!"

Congrats! I can't wait until my bp eats. It will be a major celebration!

By the way Ginevive, my full name is Genevieve. I wonder if they're pronounced the same. Mine is pronounced "Jen-a-veev", but I go by Genna for short. I shortened it even more to gen for the message board.

Wow Gen, you're lucky. I got stuck with the boring old name Jennifer. I kinda took the name Ginevive for Internet purposes because everyone knows ten people named Jennifer and I wanted to have a name that was a bit different.. Gin was my former nickname because I used to drink sloe gin, and Ginevive evolved from that.
