I brought home yet another little creater!
He's a schneider skink, I thinks its a he, not sure how to tell tho.
He took real good to transfer, already eatin and swimming in the sand! It looks so cool when hes gliding through the sand, under the surface, hes faster in and under the sand than he is a the sand, cool.
just thought I'd share.

Congrats on the new addition, crowley. Just one suggestion.....I would replace the sand with shredded aspen. Its much safer for them and he will be much less likely to injest it. Plus its much easier to clean.

Well it's not really sand. Its a biodegratble digustible substrate for that reason of concern, I'm not sure I remember the name, I'll find it and let you know.

I highly doubt it is truly digestable. The majority of "digestable substrates" out there are lying about their product. Take Calci-Sand for instance......the granules are much larger than normal sand are actually jagged......this of course means it is much more dangerous to an animal that injests it.
*If* aspen is injested, it is an organic product and is almost always easily passed.

Yeah, that stuff is pure crap. The FDA should also check pet products...
