    Our first clutch hatched

Our first clutch finally hatched, I sexed them and we have 1.2 100% het Piebald.

This pairing was Piebald x Pos Double Het Piebald Albino.

Obviously the piebald didn't prove out but I don't care, too excited for that to bother me. Only three eggs this year but there is always next year to try.

    they are gorgeous!

I wouldn't count the female as "not proved out". With only three eggs, it's very possible you just didn't hit the odds. I would give her 2-3 more seasons of just hets before you consider her not het for pied.

Oh I haven't given up hope, just saying it really doesn't matter if she proves out to me, this was our first clutch and MAN was it very exciting, the whole process I mean.

Just to let you know, there's about a 13% chance for 3 hets to come out of a pied x het pied pairing, so you still have a good chance she might be het pied . The most common outcome would be 1 pied and 2 hets, or 2 pieds and 1 het, and those are each a 37% chance by comparison.

Now, after 10 total eggs, its only a 0.1% chance she could still be a het, so I'd stop after that personally and try to prove out the albino
1.0 Pied 0.1 Pied het Albino
1.0 Albino het Pied 0.1 Hog Island Boa
0.1 het Albino, 50% het Pied 0.1 Black lab
