Just because you're female doesn't necessarily mean you need a smaller snake! I'm on the petite side (5'4") and other than getting a mini-workout lifting her fat butt out of her enclosure (she likes to become dead-weight when she doesn't want to move) I've never had any trouble with my BCI girl. She's THE best behaved snake I've ever seen! She grew fast, but honestly, I never really noticed THAT much until I compared photos of her.

The day we brought her home in summer 2011:

And a year and 2-3 months later:

    Hogg island Boa

I have a pure hog island female who is on the larger side, measured at 6 foot but I would say she is pushing 7. I also have a pure male who I am currently breeding with her. I love my hogs I would trade them for the world.

I'm 5'2" and I have everything from ball pythons to retics. I wouldn't let size stop you

Thanks! I'm thrilled to death to have them both. They are always so stinking cute! Hard to deny the Hog Island bug!
