my bp will not eat i dont know why

i recently purchased beginning of march end of February a killer bee male, around 1000 grams and since ive bought him he has ceased to eat, like when i bought him the seller showed me pictures of him locking up, note i do have other pythons that eat regularly, i keep him in a rack system with paper towel substrate and a large sized hide and a water bowl, my main concern is because he seems to be getting skinny and ive offered from frozen to thawed, also i have a few 300 gram snakes that wont eat either previous owner fed live and i tried thawed and live and i cannot get them to eat,, also when i put a live rat in the killer bees tub the other day instead of eating he just ended up laying coiled with it on top him cuddling, im worried its an expensive snake i need him to eat, can anyone help?

You'll want to make sure the hide fits the snake pretty snugly to make sure he feels safe. But, 1000 grams is where some ball pythons hit a 'wall' and go off feed. Don't worry about him. He can go many a month and be okay. Just continue to offer food about once a week. I wouldn't let a feed rodent get that close to your snake, especially if you aren't watching.

As for the 300 gram snakes, what are they and what are your temps?

Some of my males are still off feed for the breeding season. If he was locking up before you got him and your sure his setup is perfect, then that's probably what's going on.

You have a number of animals 300gm to 1000 gm not eating if I read right?

What exactly are the temps hot side (lowest tub and warmest) cool side (hi and lowest tubs) AND the ambient air temps in the tubs (you cannot use an ir gun for ambients) it sounds as if there is a temp issue.

I missed that part for some reason. Guess that's what I get for reading too fast. 300g BPs are a bit small to be fasting, so there is likely a husbandry issue going on.

    Bingo.

OP: Double check the hot spots, ambients, cool side, humidity, and room temps. Let us know what they are reading at and we can assist a little better.

That killerbee male you got seems to be in full breeding mode still. Don't worry about him too much, most adult males will get a bit skinny during breeding season, especially if they are in the same room as females and can smell them.

I would be more worried about your 300g balls right now.
