Black Pewter?
I got this girl in on a trade I did awhile back. I originally got her as a Pewter but she is so dark I keep thinking she might be a Black Pastel x Pastel.. what do you guys think?

She does look more like a black pewter but you'd have to breed her to be sure. Is there anyway to find out who the breeder was or what the paring was?

I see your point....and I agree, but you will get some people who believe that Cinny and Black Pastel are the same morph. I was just unclear about your original question. My bad.... If it's any consolation, your snakes coloration looks a lot like my Black Pewter...and I know for a fact that mine is a Black Pewter.

I'd like to meet these "people" so that I could tell them to their face that they're idiots. I know that you know better because you've got a black pewter. I've not once heard anyone make that claim, myself.

Re: Black Pewter?
There is no way that cinny and BP are the same. Similar and lie on the same loci, but definitely not the same mutation.
OP: I may have to agree with you. It definitely has that black pewter look and squiggles in the alien heads that are inherited from black pastels. Cinnys don't typically have that trait. While my black pewter isn't as dark, the pattern is the same. But in the end, breeding with confirm it.

I'm pretty convinced that that's a Black Pewt, looks just like mine and every other that I've ever seen. The only way I could really see a Pewter having that same kind of pixelated patterning is if it also had the Granite gene in it but that seems like it'd be a far off stretch.
