Is anyone from the site affected by the Terrorism in Boston today?

I'm just now getting information on what went on. Apparently there were bombs exploded on the course for the Boston Marathon. More were found in hotels nearby, one went off in the JFK library.

If you or anyone you know has been affected by this, you have my heartfelt sympathy.

Hopefully more information will be forthcoming, right now they don't even have someone claiming responsibility.

I think we're all affected. This kind of stuff was unimaginable just 20 years ago, but now it seems to be commonplace. It really makes me sad to think what kind of world my kids will be growing up in.

Actually Timothy McVeigh bombed the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995. That's getting pretty close to 20 years.

It just makes me sick to think of someone doing that to people just because they want to 'make a statement'

Is anyone from the site affected by the Terrorism in Boston today?

If we want to start throwing BS out there trying to link to unrelated subjects.

How about it was someone protesting taxes? Boston, deadline for taxes..?
Could have been someone that was sick of their street being closed off every year so people could run a race.

Maybe it was someone proving that banning extended magazines, assault rifles, tougher background checks really won't change anything.

I bet this will turn out to be an American.
Someone trying to prove a point.

If anyone feels the world is getting worse, go back and live in Germany, France or Poland in the early 40s.

Take a look through any History book. The list can go on and on.

Have your kids trade their life of today with a lives or two small black children growing up in the south during the civil rights movement.

This world has always been violent. I think we have it pretty easy today compared to other times.

Bombings, shootings etc. will never stop until people don't feel they have nothing to lose. No more points to be made.

Yesterday is labeled as tragic and it was. I bet there will be more deaths this week from people texting and driving. But that won't get some fancy name like "Twin Bombing"

    /end rant.
