    First DIY Viv for Crestie

    Hi all,

I've recently purchased a little crestie. My brother and I are in the process of building our very first naturalistic vivarium for it. Wanted to share a quick pic of it: (please excuse the cell phone picture! Not sure where my camera is!)

It's a 12x12x18 Zoomed. We started off by siliconing the back to black it out. Let it cure for a day. Then we siliconed three pieces of sterilized cork bark into the background. Another day of curing, we added Great Stuff. Then waited for that to set up for 12 hours. We applied brown silicone to the foam, the black silicone, and some of the cork bark. Pretty much immediately we added a mixture of Eco Earth, moss, and calcinated clay for texture. Finally, today we added the hydroton, mesh, and ABG mix.

Need to work on getting the plants now. Let me know what you think!

    First DIY Viv for Crestie

Should look nice once it has some more plants in it and they fill it out!

    Hey guys,

Got some plants from NEHERP. I was busy doing my taxes so my brother ended up planting the whole dang thing without me!

Anywho, check out our finally planted viv

Here are the plants we got:

    Perperomia verschaffeltii
    'Mini Watermelon Peperomia'

    Button Fern

I forget which bromeliad is which but we've got Neo Min Skirt Mini Neo Efitiquina Espirito Santo

Peperomia clusiifolia (the one in the back with pink and big leaves)

    Tillandsia

This one I need some help identifying. Bought it at the Long Island Show. The vendor said it was gecko safe (as all his plants were)

    Thanks for looking!!
