    Thinking about getting a Blood

I like to keep some animals other than Ball Pythons as pets. Thinking bout a Blood ever since I saw an Ivory one at the last show I attended.

Just thought I would put that out there.

So, blood lovers, talk me in to it.

Also, why is it that Ivories always seem to be sold in pairs. Makes it hard if you just want the one...

I love my bloods. Once I got my big female I decided within a week I wanted more. I'm up to four. My big female is a puppy dog and will lay with you as long as you let her. The other three are a future breeding project. They are bangka x het albino. I can not wait to see what they can produce. The parents were from Kara and Lipps so I expect big things.

They were yearlings and still alittle nippy the first couple weeks I had them. They have settled down nicely and i think they will have a great attitude when they get older.

I love the heavy frame they have and how they have alittle of an attitude about them. As long as your good with the possibility of having to settle one down a but I think you should add one to your collection.

    DO IT!

If you buy a pair I would be glad to give the extra one a home.

I have noticed they are usually in pairs too. I plan to get some matrix and make my own.

I have a Borneo and a Sumatran, I love the Borneo morphs available and coasting Curtus Forum always blows my mind. I really love my little fattys but I agree, I am still working with the Borneo, he stresses easily, but is worth the wait. I have seen a few single Ivorys available on kingsnake, and especially the STP specific forums/sites. I would check those out or talk to some of the breeders (Keith McPeek is an awesome source of information, and has always been very help full to me).

    Thinking about getting a Blood

I just bought a pair of matrix to make my own ivories! I literally picked them up yesterday

    Male

Female (this girl is feisty! Which is why she got her picture taken in a tub vs loose in the light tent).

These are my first bloods! Kinda excited here

They're gorgeous (especially selectively-bred USCBB animals), their husbandry is relatively straightforward, they have enough size and heft to be a substantial animal, and they have fun personalities. What's not to love?
