Update on Boa's and new pictures

Since moving to an appropriate meal once every two weeks every one has gone through quite a growth spurt and the BCA female that had been housed with the BCA male prior to coming to my house and me completing their new and updated housing we believe that the BCA is due to have a litter approximately with in the next 2-4 months since we didn't witness any lockings we have been feeding her a very small meal once every two weeks she refused the last one. She also has a nice prismatic glow when in direct light and especially in sun light. The BCA male has proved to be a great and temperamental male who didn't take kindly to being moved from weekly feedings to biweekly feedings he struck at my husband twice luckily barely missing both times, since the steady biweekly scheduled feedings we have had no more incidents. The other female has turned out to be quite bomb proof and very docile.

so now on the important info and pictures

If you have any guesses as to an origin or color variation of Nephthys please feel free to take a stab the previous owner hasn't found her paperwork yet.
Nephthys The unknown origin female still with no confirmed color variation was debated is she may have possibly been Venezuelan current weight 1242 g and 4 ft 5 in

Isis BCA female current weight 1185 g and 4 ft 7.5 in

Osiris BCA male current weight 1022 g and 5 ft 2.25 in

Lovely looking group. I really like the last male. Tomorrow I'll say it's the female. Hmmm,, I'd take any of them!

The BCAs are normal wild-type as any BCA would be. Kind of like BCCs - pure BCCs (or BCAs in this case) don't have a variety of morphs like common boas (BCIs) do.

The first female is a hypo - most likely a Colombian - BCI.

    They are looking very nice!

Thank you much evenstar they are looking much better from when I first got them and glad to see them doing so well they are a delight and I love that they move around more than my BP's makes it more interesting handling them we are anxious to see is the BCA female is actually gravid we were not planning on them breeding but I guess in west Texas the conditions get prime early either way we are preparing for a litter just in case and a good friend at the local nature center is going to watch after her when we go on vacation may 31 - June 13 just to ensure if she has them during that time someone more knowledgeable than our pet sitter will be there to tend to her and the babies. If I assume her last shed was a POS then she would be due at the earliest the last week of may through the end of June so we are taking precautions and hoping if she is gravid it is a small litter. And luck would have it there are many herp friendly employees and volunteers at the nature center that are anxious to see if she has babies and interested in giving them a good home including the director of the nature center. I will keep you posted on her progress.

Thank you and it was either on this site or something I ran across in my research before getting my BP's it is a website you upload a picture with an item in it of defined length such as the wood block in their pictures and then you mark the measured object and input its length then you begin plotting dots along the snake to measure it. It is quite time consuming to get a pretty accurate measurement and you have to use overhead shots for best measurements. I generally take the even more time consuming route and measuring 3 separate pictures all taken on the same day and then average the lengths it gives and thus far it has been pretty accurate.

edit As for weights I use a digital scale they are pretty cheap and you can pick one up at most restaurant supply stores or department stores I think mine was like 25$ and will weigh up to 5000 grams but until they get bigger it will work. I place a Rubbermaid container with its lid on the scale zero it out and then place snake inside wait on them to settle in one place and then read the weight.

Lovely boas! I don't see many with BCAs, it's a shame because they're lovely.

And I need to respectfully disagree with Evenstar on the first boa: it looks like a common/normal BCI to me, no hypo.
