If my bp is being very active after just having a meal can I take her out?
I just fed her about 2 hours ago. She has never had trouble keeping a meal down but I usually let her be for at least a day before taking her out because I know that's the general rule. However lately after I feed her she has just roamed around her cage and been very active. She goes up to the top, drinks some water, etc. She's not acting sick or anything, is eating normally and shedding well. But since she is so active anyways, is it okay to take her out?

Personally, if I had been the one to ask this question and someone else had said it was okay, I'd still leave the BP alone for the day just to avoid the slight possibility that my handling could cause it to regurg. My BP is also active early after a feeding but I still give him a full day to himself so that I know I won't upset his stomach.

She's a little over three and I feed her 2 medium sized mice every 10 days. Isn't that what you are supposed to do?

You could also feed rats. It might still be hungry. What is the snake's weight?

Is that three years or three months. Three years two medium mice are not a lot. Should be on medium to large rats

Large rats? I would think a large rat would be too big for a BP.

First of all, how much does your BP weigh? 3 years old should be an adult ball python and they should be on 1 small - medium rat every 7 days. If you feed mice, that's like 5 or 6 mice at a time. You will save money and stress on your snake by feeding rats instead of multiple mice.
That said, if you've only been feeding her 2 mice every 10 days, she's probably a little thin. So, she may need something smaller like a weaned rat. Could you show us a picture of her and a weight? That will help us out to determine what and how often she should be eating.
As for your original question, don't hold her until at least 24-48 hours after a meal. She's probably hungry.
