Yet I'm the one with the reading comprehension issue?

The animal was not produced by me, it was produced by Mark Haas, who has been notified about the animal and is trying to locate pictures of it when it was smaller. It can be difficult to handle a situation like this, especially when this amount of time has passed and the animal has gone through several hands, so please try to be patient. I will try my best to make sure that this situation gets clarified and will see what the original breeder wants to do. If the main parties involved want to get in contact with me then they are more than welcome to. Thanks!!!

To reiterate ...
Just because your doubts were eased, does not mean you should have withheld the information "omitting the truth" to your buyer.
That. Is. Shady.
You should have told your customer EVERYTHING from the get go. INCLUDING that your doubts were erased because of guarantees from multiple good guys. Thus letting them form their own opinion on subject before committing.
Own up to your screw up, or keep on shoveling. Matters not to me

Adam that email was spot on brother, and I make this post for no one but myself, as this whole deal has given me a migraine....I know there are those who I've put off with some of my posts and that's fine by me, but I apologize anyway for them......It's just hard when your passionate about something you've been doing for 22 years, then people start calling you shady and dishonest, and you believe what you are saying is the truth. Rosey, you are correct and I should've mentioned any early doubts, however premature they may have been......Given my excitement about my future breedings, and the fact that they were put at ease, I honestly didn't think they would be prudent. It's not that I purposely withheld that I just didn't think they were valid.

Whether or not it is a Sterling has be become of little consequence in the end. It is how things have been handled by both parties.
What it seems is that there was information omitted in the deal that could have saved a lot of trouble, but more importantly is the the uncovering of the blatant flipping of the snakes.
There are procedures that reputable resellers follow that do not seem to be going on here. This poor animal is just getting passed on and on and on.
Also, both of you have burned a lot of bridges with the public in two ways:
1. How you handle conflict and/or dissatisfied customers
2. Your blatant poor choices for potential breeding stock. Quality in = quality out. IMO this snake should never have been considered for a breeding program. If it is a Sterling it is pet quality at best. Any time you have to question the genetics, the snake is not a great example and should not be used as breeding stock. People wonder why markets get flooded with poor examples, and this is exactly why. Even the nicest parents throw a off hatchling now and again, and IMO only the best from the clutches should be future breeders. But I digress...
Either way, not a chance I do business with either of you in the future. That may not matter to you, but I am sure I am not the only one that feels that way.

I've already stated the genes I wanted to work with this season, and clearly stated that the sterling never fitted any of my breeding programs

This, is a good step in the right direction. I am sure you felt like you were thrown to the wwolves, and began lashing out as such. We all are very passionate about this community and the hobby. As such, we all tend to get hot under the collar when it seems like someone seems to be causing harm to it (dishonesty, scamming, etc). I will also apologize, to you, for my jabs.
In my opinion, you did not intentionally scam anyone, just made a bad business move that blew up to epic proportions. My general advice to you would be this:
Take a breather, and lay low for a little while on the selling market. Let this settle and fade into the background. For future dealings, I would generally suggest you try and avoid "flipping" animals. (Getting an animal and quickly selling it/trading it off) as that is usually frowned upon. If you feel you're in a position that you need to sell a new acquisition quickly, just be up front about it. Let the customer know it has only been with you so long, who you got it from, etc. Again, this is just my opinion, I'm just trying to help you step up from this mess and come out better for it.

Sterling ball or Pewter Ball
I still see a pewter until Mark Haas comes here and posts. Unless both parents had super pastel genes I refuse to believe thats a sterling.
