I know some of the biggest names in the business do not provide a temp. gradient for ball pythons. It's definitely one of those things people are hesitant to reveal and even more hesitant to recommend to anyone. If you do not provide hot spots, please weigh in:
What temp do you keep them at?
What do you look for as far as possible issues?
Do you find this affects their eating habits? Do you modify the eating regimen at all? (offering every 7 days instead of 5, etc)
Do you raise and drop ambient temps during the day or leave them flat all the time?
Any stipulations as to the type of ball you keep at even temps? (no gravid females, no fresh hatchlings, etc)
Any other input on how you manage this practice?
Thanks and don't be shy!
