Ugh! I had my big Normal male, Anubis, do this to me a couple of feeds ago. He struck, missed, then curled back to try to get the rat and latched right onto his own side. He curled so hard, I thought for sure he was going to kill himself. Took me a couple of minutes to get him to let go, then he promptly refused to eat...like it was all my fault. Crazy pic, thanks for sharing!

She held on long enough for me to take a cell phone pic then find my regular camera a take a pic with it too. She ended up eating still.

Haha! Mine haven't done this yet.. Just got them new (read bigger and harder to tip) water dishes, and though they haven't tipped them at feeding time, they have a tendency to completely submerge their rats in them while they're eating xD ... apparently the feeders need a bit of a wash first.

    Re: Feeding Time

I had a mouse that bit itself and she proceeded to wash it 3 times in and out of the water b4 she ate.. At least I knew she was hydrated..

There was a video of a hog nose eating itself.. Ur lucky Urs didn't get her own tail

My 1.0 Mojave did that a few weeks ago. He couldn't release his mouth from his own body fast enough and just coiled a small rat with his tail until he could release his mouth from his body!!
