    need some help...

I recently switched out our bedding for our sand boa from sand to Aspen shavings. he loves it and I felt good about knowing it was better for him. BUT in the last week I've had a severe allergic reaction to the Aspen! I'm a dummy...it's taken me a week to realize that's what's giving me so much trouble. So....my question is, how dangerous is it to switch him back to sand? He never gets fed in his tank, but always in a clean feeding box used only for feeding time. He's not ingesting sand. If sand isn't a good option what are my other choices? I have a lot of seasonal allergies so I'm thinking any kind of plan matter is probably not a good idea for me. And suggestions or thoughts??

Since you feed in a seperate enclosure, you might try this stuff.... http://www.pangeareptile.com/store/c...esh-ultra.html

I wouldn't recommend it if you fed in the cage since this stuff is artificial and I would not want a snake swallowing the stuff, but then again, it's not like aspen is digestible either, lol. I tend to think sand is too course and drying for snakes, even KSBs, but I don't have sand boas myself. But maybe something like this will work for you!
