No it's on the cool side. But I noticed he spilled some of his water and the newspaper is wet.

After adding some more holes changing out the wet paper and switching the water dish it is holding at 77 I will try to add some more holes or make the current ones bigger to get it into the 60's

Vypyrz: I just want to thank you again for making this thread. It was the first one I looked at when making an enclosure for my first snake and now both of them very are happy, healthy, and the tubs are very easy to travel with

Thanks for the step by step guide Vypyrz! Also using a solder to make the air holes was really easy and they look great, almost look uniform.
Quick question though - ball pythons (or any snakes) in tubs or racks do not need light? No lamp needed?

I am wondering this exact thing, can anyone shed some light on it (pun absolutely intended if you were wondering)?
Also, bless you for this thread. I'm about to get my first BP and this is exactly what I wanted to do!

From the Ball Python Care Guide on this site:
Neither UV lighting or supplemental lighting is required for ball-pythons. They do well with ambient room light, so long as the light is not constant and some sort of day/night schedule is provided. Excessive lighting can induce high stress levels in these nocturnal creatures.

In the Glass set up viv - He says to cover the 3 out of the 4 sides of the viv (he uses white paper)... Is it the same principle?
