    Opinion on caramels.

What is everyone ones opinion on caramels? I only have one normal and don't want to spend over $500 on another not looking to breed just pet but want something very unusual and pretty to look at.

Caramels are great, if the line has been out crossed properly.

Caramels are great. We have a male here on breeding loan and he is very fun to look at. I don't know that I would spend 500 on one as a pet when you can find some quite a bit cheaper.

I love Crider line Caramels. From the vibrant young to the lighter adults. I would love to get my hands on one.

I like them, I'd probably get into them if it wasn't for the kinking. But they're really pretty snakes.

If you want something pretty to look at for less than $500 and is geneticly defective that you're not going to breed.... Get a female desert combo.

This is a great suggestion. If you offered $500 for a multi-gene desert female, I'm sure you'd be able to get one. Desert crosses are some of the most spectacular in the ball world. The reason desert females are dirt cheap is because they are incapable of breeding. Attempting to do so could lead to death or slugs (if you're lucky).

Caramels are very beautiful, and would make a striking pet. The desert combo suggestion is good, too. I love desert pinstripes!

I definitely agree on the Desert combo.

Caramels are nice too, though. I think people exaggerate the issues with them and if you're not breeding, it doesn't even matter. Make sure you inspect the animal before you buy it. Feel along its body and let it slither calmly across a flat surface. Look for any deformity of the spine.

Thanks, I may look into those also. I am not really picky right now just looking for something nice to look at that my kiddos will enjoy
