    Re: Bumblebees

I have one hide that is a fake rock type that she is always in. The setup is a large around 5 gal type critter keeper. Is that too small maybe? She has water on the cool side. Ambient temp is only 75 right now....just turned heater on. Temp got down to 61 in my apt this morning.

Awh gorgeous bees! I was SO disappointed when I read about the wobble. I was just like "Why not any other gene? Like majaves?" I'll just have to admire your guy's babies. The spider gene creates such cool markings.

I got my guy close to two weeks ago I think? He's eaten twice and hasn't refused. He's three months old and not sure of his current weight. Maybe ask the previous owner how they fed? I got mine from Garrick and I asked him what size he was currently eating and bought those for him. Also my sister and I stumbled across his youtube channel (this was before I came here and realized how big he is in the industry). We watched a video of him feeding. Well I offered his first mouse to him by using tongs and having it dangle by the tail like I'd seen on most youtube videos. Allure showed interest but was just staring like "Uh and what is that supposed to be?" and didn't strike. My sister pointed out that Garrick held his by the scruff of the neck in his video. Lightbulb moment! As soon as I did that he was on it.

    Re: Bumblebees

Ambient should be and stay 80. They tend to prefer snug, dark hides. Also, two of the same is ideal, so they don't have to choose between security and thermoregulating. And smaller is better, you don't want her in too big of an enclosure, as that will make her feel more insecure. Can you post pictures of your set up?

I will take a couple pics in a couple minutes. How do I keep the ambient temp at 80? Especially if the temp falls at night in my apt.

    Re: Bumblebees

How are you heating your tank? You have to keep temps up, or your snake can get sick with an RI, and cannot properly digest food. Place her in a room you can keep a heater on, to keep temps right. Or get heat lamps as needed to keep proper temps.

Is it regulated with a thermostat and are you using that analog thermometer or are you using a digital with probe.
