IDs are extremely difficult without pictures, there is thread on how to post them. Thanks for looking out for the snake though, and welcome to the forum.

Dented eyes and poor shed means that the humidity needs to be higher.

Upload the pictures onto a hosting site such as photobucket.com then copy the IMG code here.

Welcome and good job saving this guy from a poor situation.

Their eyes are actually yellow to gold depending on the morph. Their eyes will dimple when the humidity is too low or they are dehydrated. Just keep him warm for a while with a water bowl and a hide. (I won't go into detail on care. you can find that in this forum if you do a search.) Then after a week try to feed him an appropriately sized mouse or rat. A pic would defintely help for an ID. Good luck!

Re: Python breed and eye care help plz!

Hi there and congrats for saving this big baby. It looks like a regular ball python to me with maybe some stuck shed on his head. I believe the eye dent could be from lack of humidity or maybe even a birthing issue. I would up his humidity and give him plenty of water to drink.

Congrats again and thank you for taking him from a bad situation.

    Nichole.

Looks like a pretty normal wild type to me.
    I love it's blushing.

And he has quite a bit of stuck shed on his head and eyes.
Just bump up the humidity and wait for the next shed. Don't try to remove the eye caps yourself.
