    My Setup

Well, it was cleaning day today and since I haven't posted any pictures of Athena's tank I thought I might as well take some. (Temps are off of course because nothing is warmed up yet. I'm also not using those crap gauges anymore, i just have them there for a quick glance since I roughly know how off they are.)

And then she just had to say hello. xD

I don't really think it's a newb question, haha. I mean I'm a newb myself. I only got her back in August.

It's a portable humidifier that uses a water bottle as it's tank. I use it for the winter months when I need to use two heat lamps.

    My Setup

Where did you get it? My son who is six is getting a ball this week. I set his enclosure up for him but can't get the humidity up. It's winter here and my house is bone dry.

There are several others things that you can do to keep the humidity up though. Such as changing the substrate to reptibark, adding moss, adding a larger water bowl, covering part of the cage with a towel, or even making a humid hide.

It was only after I had done all these things, with the humidity still at 20%, did I get it.

EDIT: And also make sure you have something else to measure the humidity besides gauges. I made that mistake and when I went to bump up the humidity for her last shed and it was too high even though the gauge said otherwise. Because of that she has the tiniest start of scale rot on her head.

Most people here, including myself, use the acurite thermometer you see next the humidifier. Not only does it measure the ambient temp but also measures the humidity as well. You can find it at Walmart (in their outdoor section) for only $10

$30? I just spent $90 and the only difference is mine comes with a plastic hose.
Slap a pet label on something and charge triple.
Bookmarking that and do you happen to have any vendors for misters for my gf's frogs that will save me as much as this link will?

I'm guessing you got the zoomed one. -sigh-. I was looking at that one as well, it was really by chance that I ran into this. I have to walk by the section where they have all their humidifiers when I go and get my meds so when that caught my eye I was like 'whaaaaaaaaaaaaaa?'
