I think you need to invest in some patience LOL. They will go when it is time. Have you tried palpating?

I too only had one clutch last year and i honestly had no clue she was gonna lay eggs till i woke up one morning to 6 big plump eggs the best thing to do is just not pay attention to all the signs of if she is going to lay i have 3 girls going this year and i just keep throwing males at them from week to week and when they pop they pop i dont know maybe i have too much patience i dont even count sheds or anything like that i know they all recently shed but i dont know if that means they will lay, ovulate, or just be a pain in the rear all i do know is that they stink to high heavens right now and need a good cleaning.

There's a rhyme to their reason, or is it a reason to their rhyme? lol.

They are fairly predictable if you keep track of sheds, watch their behavior like bowl wrapping, building, and watch for a glow after shed, and then the ovy and then the prelay shed.
They may not do it all in the exact time frame, trust me they don't, but they go through the same motions and same routines.

If you check them daily you cant miss ovulation. And when they are close to lay they will look like if they eat 10 rats, about to explote. Be patience. It´s a good sing they dont want to eat. Only consider the shed after ovulation.

Are you not supposed to clean the tank when your trying to breed them? I didn't know that if thats the case.

I have a 2600g Normal with 6 marbles in her belly that won't lock with anything!! I have given up on trying to figure what stage they are all at. I just continue to check on them everyday. When eggs show, I have the incubator ready and running at 89F with egg tubs prepped in it.

Has she looked like this yet... 2200g Spider looking pretty uncomfortable here and still I cannot palpate anything. I'm going to invest in an ultrasound machine with my tax return and take the guesswork out of it.... lol...
