I use 2 hides (reptile basics), white ceramic bowl, pre-cut papertowel like sheets for the liner (must remember where I ordered these!), animal plastics 41qt setrilite rack. I find my guys are always in the hides, despite being in a rack which is in a quiet, low traffic room, in the back of the house.

do you have a lot of spills with those plastic water bowls or are they usually heavy enough to keep from getting knocked around?

I'm in complete agreement with Jerry's response: rack system, 41 qt tubs, paper towels and a ceramic water bowl. I like the blue mechanic towels from Costco; they're nicely priced, highly absorbent and fit great in 41 qt tubs. Only picky eaters have hides.
